Introduction
SNAP is a university-specific, high-speed computer-based test conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It is the exclusive gateway to 16 Symbiosis institutes, including premier colleges like SIBM Pune and SCMHRD Pune.
Exam Pattern
SNAP is a pure speed-sprint exam. It does not use sectional time limits, giving you full control over how you navigate the sections.
- Total Questions: 60 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Duration: 60 minutes (1 minute per question)
- Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answers; -0.25 for incorrect answers
- Sectional Breakup:
- General English (VA/RC): 15 questions
- Analytical & Logical Reasoning (A-LR): 25 questions
- Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency (QA/DI-DS): 20 questions
Syllabus
- General English: Idioms & Phrases, Synonyms/Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, Grammar, Sentence correction, Analogy (Rarely includes Reading Comprehension).
- Analytical & Logical Reasoning: Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Clocks & Calendars, Linear & Circular Arrangements, Syllogisms, Critical Reasoning.
- Quantitative Aptitude & DI: Arithmetic (Percentages, Profit & Loss, SI/CI, TSD, Time & Work), Algebra, Basic Geometry, Modern Math (Permutation & Combination, Probability), Data Interpretation graphs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University/Institution.
- Minimum Marks: Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in graduation.
- Final Year Students: Eligible to apply, provided passing certificates are submitted by the time of admission.
- Age Limit: No upper age limit.
Selection Process
- SNAP Score: Candidates are shortlisted based on their overall percentile score.
- GE-PIWAT Round: Shortlisted candidates must visit the respective Symbiosis campuses for Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT).
- Final Weightage:
- SNAP Score (scaled down to 50 marks): 50%
- Group Exercise (GE): 10%
- Personal Interview (PI): 30%
- Written Ability Test (WAT): 10%
How to Apply
- Visit the official website (snaptest.org).
- Register as a new user, fill in personal details, and upload your digital photo/signature.
- Crucial Step: You must select both the SNAP exam and the individual Symbiosis programs/colleges you wish to apply for within this form.
- Pay the test registration fee (approx. ₹2,250 per test slot) plus the college program fee (approx. ₹1,000 per program choice).
SNAP Target Colleges
The SNAP exam is mandatory to enter any of the 16 colleges under Symbiosis International University (SIU). Scores are not accepted by outside or non-Symbiosis universities.

- Tier 3 & Specialized:
- SICSR – Pune (IT Management)
- SIBM – Hyderabad / Noida / Nagpur
