Introduction

IBPS RRB PO (officially called Officer Scale I) is a national-level banking examination conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to recruit Probationary Officers in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across India.

Selected candidates work in rural banking operations and are responsible for branch management, loan processing, customer service, and financial inclusion activities.

Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination

  • Two sections:

    • Reasoning Ability

    • Quantitative Aptitude

  • Total: 80 marks, 45 minutes

  • This stage is qualifying in nature.

Main Examination

  • Five sections:

    • Reasoning

    • Computer Knowledge

    • General Awareness

    • English/Hindi Language

    • Quantitative Aptitude

  • Total: 200 marks

  • This stage is merit-deciding.

Interview

  • Conducted after Mains (for Officer Scale I)

  • Final selection is based on Mains + Interview performance
