Indian Navy (IN) and the United States Navy (USN) commenced the 8th Edition of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Exercise 2026 at the Southern Naval Command, Kochi, Kerala from 10 August to 14 August 2026.
- The five-day bilateral exercise aims to enhance interoperability, operational synergy, and professional cooperation between the specialist diving and EOD teams of the two navies.

CCRAS and BIS Signs MoU to Establish International Quality Standards For AYUSH
Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) under the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in New Delhi, Delhi to strengthen quality standards, conformity assessment, scientific research, and capacity building in the AYUSH sector.
- This MoU marks the 100th MoU signed by the BIS and the first with an AYUSH organisation.
RBI Releases 101st Survey of SPF, Survey Projects 6.6% GDP Forecast for FY27
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released the 101st Survey of Professional Forecasters (SPF), which projected Financial Year 2026-27 (FY27) real Gross Domestic Product growth at 6.6%, up from 6.5% estimated in the 100th SPF conducted in May 2026.
- Also, it has projected that India will grow at 7.0% in FY28.
