Eligiilty
Nationality: Candidate should be a citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act, 1955.
Age: The candidates must fit in the AFCAT eligibility criteria of age limit. Check here the details of the AFCAT. For getting recruited in the Indian Air Force the applicants must be of 20 years of age.

Educational Qualification

| Flying Branch | 50% marks in each maths & physics of Class 12 along with a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. OR B. Tech degree from a recognized university with 60% marks or equivalent. OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. |
| Ground Duty (Technical) Branch | Minimum 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University. |

AFCAT Selection Process
AFCAT selection process 2022 is divided into three different stages by the officials of the Indian Air Force. The aspirants who want to pursue their career in the Indian Air Force must be aware of the AFCAT selection process 2022 and apply for it well before time.
- AFCAT Exam: This is the first stage of the selection process. An online examination is conducted and the candidates performing extremely well and meeting the cutoff will proceed to the subsequent stage of the selection process.
- SSB Interview/Personality Test: The shortlisted applicants will be called for the interview or the personality test. This round will screen the candidates on their persona and intellect.
- Medical Examination: The applicants must be medically fit to be eligible for the job.
- Final Merit List: The final merit list will be declared based on the cumulative scores obtained by the candidates in the written test and the interview.
